What a fantastic night to be a Ranger! On Wednesday, April 5th, 8th grade students from Raymond Park Middle School showcased their hard work and talents through their Language Arts and Social Studies projects. Students were to select a time period and create projects that would depict a scene or artifact from that era.
Not only were parents and students able to view student projects in the gallery walk, but all were invited to partake in food from the Colonial Era. Chartwells created a menu of pease porridge and black eyed peas with turano bread, ham roast with red eye gravy and stone ground grits. Shortbread cookies with a choice of apple butter, honey, orange marmalade, and strawberry preserves along with infused teas of apple cinnamon or orange clove gave everyone a feel for history as they strolled through the projects.
